Martha's Vineyard Events
Martha’s
Vineyard has grown as a popular destination primarily due to
the pleasant summer temperatures, which rarely exceed 90°, and
the pristine beaches.
Recreational opportunities abound on
Martha’s Vineyard. In addition to Fishing, Kayaking, Boat
Charters, Hiking, Entertainment, the pristine Beaches and much
more, the calendar of events has something for
everyone.
The months of January, February, and
March are fairly quiet on Martha’s Vineyard. However, once
April starts, the events keep right on going through
mid-December.

50 different vendors that runs from late spring to the
fall; on Saturdays only. The Chilmark Road Race in August
features a 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) course that is quite
hilly in the middle third section.

and Bluefish Derby that kicks off on September 15th and ends on
October 15th every fall. The 12-meter boat race also features
many America’s Cup winners.

a number of events including the Harbor Festival, Chili
Festival, Ghost Tour, Annual Oak Bluffs fireworks (presented by
the O.B. Fire Dept.), the Oak Bluffs Monster Shark Tournament

Vineyard Haven Vineyard
Haven (or Tisbury) delights visitors every July with the
Tisbury Street Fair and every December, Santa arrives by ferry
to satisfy the holiday cravings of the island’s youngsters and
adults alike. Fourth Graders delight the audience with their
Thespian performances at the Vineyard Playhouse with the Fourth
Grade Project. Additionally, the Last Night/First Day event
that covers New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day features numerous
events and fireworks for everyone’s viewing
pleasure.
West Tisbury The Farmers’
Market runs from mid-June to the end of August on Wednesdays
and Saturdays from 9am until noon on both days. Fresh picked
flowers and produce, as well as delectable foods prepared in
some of the island’s best kitchens satiate the pallets of
residents and visitors alike. The Agricultural Fair entices
visitors for four to five days in mid-August and is sponsored
